How can you live a life full of lies? I have committed a sin for which I am not proud. Not only the bad people commit bad things, but the good people as well.
I am among them…
But I cannot be that person for long…
I need redemption; I need the purity of life.
And I can do that. I know for sure. But it’s getting harder and harder. Who can help me?
I have prayed a lot of times, and help is far; I will be destroyed till it reaches me.
So, who’s on my side?
Will you take my sin? Will you endure the punishment for me?
If you cannot, then how can I? And you’re expecting me to endure the punishment. You’re expecting me to accept what I never wanted to do, yet I did it.
Who’s at fault?
You are. You are the sinner. Because I am ready to accept my mistake, but are you ready to forgive me?
I believe you are not—and that’s what is holding me.
That is what stopping me to stop committing the sin.
You want to punish me. You want to put me through the same pain I put you, but you’ll never say sorry for that and only expect me to come out clean.
If my offending you bring out the worst character of yours, you were never a good person at all. You were just hiding behind a mask, ready to show your face as soon as someone else showed their first.
You were living with a lie, and that’s how everyone else is.
So, I ask you once again, “How can you live a life full of lies?”
Because I just cannot.
Can you relate to the above? I believe you can, and even if you don’t, you’ll if you reflect inside yourself.
All lies aren’t punishable, but in one way or another, we get punished.
And lies aren’t always in the form of lies; lies can be staying with a partner who’s not just toxic but also a rescue project.
Or working at a 9-5 job that doesn’t offer you joy.
Those are also lies, and to be honest, they are the worst ones because we don’t realise them.
So, tell me now, are you not living with a lie?
Perhaps you are not, but if you are, the point of writing this article isn’t to make you feel sorry for yourself. Instead, it’s to help you realise that we all are living with lies of our own, and they are shared human experiences—you are not alone.
Every lie is the cover of truth. Therefore, don’t focus on the lie; instead, focus on the truth.
Don’t focus on, “How can you live with a lie?” Instead, ask yourself, “how you choose the truth?”
As soon as you change the question, new ideas will start to pop up in your mind because you’re asking the right question. The previous one was making you find ways to live with the lies, but the latter is freedom.
So, I ask you once again, “how can you live a life full of truths?”
